April 2018 Mexico - Award Ceremony

The prestigious Award Ceremony for the Inauguration of the New President of the International Culinary Union was a highlight during the Tianguis Turistico Fair in Mazatlan, Mexico, in 2018. Amidst the grandeur of this special occasion, the esteemed President of the International Culinary Union bestowed upon Alberto Gerardo Humphrey Guerrero the highest honors within our esteemed Union.

This significant moment marked Chef Guerrero's official empowerment to steer and implement the Union's policies across the vibrant landscapes of Latin and Central America. Accompanying Chef Guerrero in this pivotal role is his esteemed associate and ICU member, Chef René Angón Romer, whose invaluable contributions were also recognized with a distinguished Honorary Merit by Mr. Zdravkov.

The ceremony not only celebrated the ascension of leadership but also underscored the Union's commitment to excellence, innovation, and culinary diplomacy within the region.
